"IRC" is the Internet Relay Chat, a system that allows Internet users to communicate (i.e., "chat") in real time on "channels" devoted to a particular subject. The curren  Lois & Clark channel is #lanekent on the Undernet (see below). If you have access to an IRC Undernet server, use the command /join #lanekent to join the discussion. Go to www.mirc.com and download the software.

NOTE: It is critical that you connect to an "Undernet" server in order to join the #lanekent channel. The Undernet is a separate system that follows many of the same protocols as the IRC. The mIRC software has a dropdown menu listing several Undernet servers.

FOLCs originally met on Sunday and Tuesday evenings to discuss the show, generally starting around 9:00 p.m. Eastern time and continuing on into the evening (and then some). These days, if you check the "#lanekent" channel just about any night, you might find someone on line.

To join #lanekent, sign up at http://www.redboots.net/lanekent/lanekent.shtml you have to be 18 years old or older.
