| Go to Next Question | "Fanfic," as the name suggests, is fiction written
by fans. It consists of stories we'd like to see, stories we'll never see, scenes that got
cut but which would fill in gaps in plot lines of stories already aired, and just about
anything else we can imagine. A. The fanfic index and archive. The original, separate Fanfic mailing list was ably maintained by Rhen Brink, but was discontinued. However, all stories generated by the members of that list are still available, and a new group of editors have taken over the task of compiling Fanfic stories and making them available to all FOLCs. Stories can be found at the following locations: http://www.win.net/~lcw/fanfic Authors wishing to submit new Fanfic stories should send an e-mail message to: LCStories@cryogen.com. The Fanfic "editors in chief" are Kathy B and DJ Riter. They take care of the daily task of correcting typos, verifying that the story is appropriate (PG) for the Archive and doing necessary formatting. They can be reached at: LCStories@cryogen.com. The "Online Content Producers," who take care of the web interface of the Fanfic archive can be reached at: FanFicWeb@cryogen.com. The Fanfic FAQ, contains information on acceptable content (their phrase, not mine), PG rating guidelines, common grammar tips, etc. It can be found at: http://www.ixpres.com/chrispat/lcfanfic. Farah Chisam has revived the Fanfic mailing list. To subscribe, send this command to listserv@listserv.indiana.edu: subscribe loiscla-general-l yourname.
