WHAT WAS THE "FOLCfest"?
| Go to Next Question | The term "FOLCfest" has become something of a generic term describing FOLC get-togethers. Gail Lefkowitz coined the term while organizing the "original" FOLCfest. On August 11-13, 1995, more than 60 FOLCs met in Burbank, CA. At Warner Brothers, the group was invited onto many of the sets and met several members of the cast and production staff; Robert Singer, Grant Rosenberg, Eugenie Ross-Leming, Chris Ruppenthal, and Jimmy Simons from the staff, and K Callan, Justin Whalen, Teri Hatcher and Dean Cain from the cast. Kaz Irving from Australia organized a "hamper" of gifts and goodies for the cast and crew. Items from all over the world filled three large wicker baskets and Teri Hatcher later wrote a charming "thank you" note to the whole list in response. |
