This was an issue that was honest about what qualities really attracted Lois Lane to Superman. It turned out those same qualities of courage, honesty, kindness and the need to do the right thing were equally attractive to her if they were represented by a snap-brimmed fedora and glasses rather than tights and a cape. |

In the past, discovering that Clark really was Superman would have been the ultimate coup for Lois, but in this case, it actually broke her heart. She was in love with and married to Clark Kent and wanted to keep it that way, but realized that the world needed Superman. The ultimate coup became the ultimate sacrifice instead when Lois decided she would find a way to make her husband remember he was Superman even if it cost her Clark and her marriage. |
